Great Minds Think Alike

Have you ever showed up wearing the same outfit as a friend? This has happened to me twice recently. The Equestrian and I both wore Ralph Lauren jean oxfords and blue shorts on one of the last days of class.

Speaking of the Equestrian, she and Country Diva and I got dinner recently. I had this yummy meatball sub:

And she was very excited about her veggie burger!

Today, Fellow Lilly Lover who just got back from Spain came over, and we had both worn skirts, a cardigan, and a murfee scarf to work!

It's so nice having her back and we had a great time catching up on lots of hysterical stories! We ate at Coastal Flats and had:

This crab cake for me!

Shrimp roll for her!

I'm heading to Rehoboth beach this weekend for 4th of July! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Kardashians: Love or Hate?

Do you love or hate the Kardashians? I have to admit,  I'm quite a fan. Although they may have become famous for just being famous, all the sisters now seem to work very hard. I read their book Kardashian Konfidential and many would be surprised at their strict upbringing (they had to have jobs as teenagers and sign contracts), close family bond, and enormous amount of respect for their parents. They certainly aren't perfect, but overall I'm pretty impressed to be honest, especially compared to many other celebs! Not to mention I love their gorgeous hair and could watch every episode just for that. I have long dark hair too (remember my fertile hair post?!) and dark eyes so I love watching for beauty and fashion tips.

Such a gorgeous family

Loving the white dress and nude shoes!

Baby Mason! And how cute is his little Burberry blanket?

Quite possibly the sexiest pregnant woman of all time

And now she looks like this again!

Love Kim's hair and make-up!

I think Kim looks so gorgeous when dressed casually!

What do you think of the Kardashians?

Virginia Horse Country

Just a 50 minute drive away from the DC area is Middleburg, VA one of my favorite places in the world.  It's a beautiful small country town famous for everything equestrian. There are plenty of antique shops, kitchen stores, and even a few accessories shops. The best place to eat is the famous Red Fox Inn which has the most delicious friend chicken ever!! I went there today with my family and the weather was perfect for walking around.

Art for Kids

I was flipping through an old issue of Traditional Home when I came across an ad for Art for Kids. This California based company makes beautiful furniture for children's rooms and nurseries. As a kid, my Mom dragged me to many interior design showhouses so even at a young age I had an appreciation for fine furniture, and I always loved seeing the kid's rooms in these homes. Here are some of my favorites from their website.

Little girl's room-love the daybed

Another little's girls room

This classic room would easily last from preschool to college years

Little boy's room-can we talk about how gorgeous this is?

A dream nursery
What do you think of these beautiful rooms?

What's in a Name?

Catherine \c(a)-theri-ne, cath(e)-rine\ as a girl's name is pronounced KATH-rin, KATH-er-in. It is of Greek origin, and the meaning of Catherine is "pure"

Today at work I ran into a few of my co-workers in the kitchen discussing why their parents had given them their names. I think this is such a fun topic. My parents chose Catherine for me because my Mom's maternal grandmother was named Caterina and she and my aunt had always said whoever had a girl first would get to name her Catherine. My Mom's other potential name for me was Anastastia but the Portuguese relatives weren't too fond of that one (aka they thought it was weird). Why did your parents give you your name??

Home Stores in Rehoboth Beach

You wouldn't necessarily associate the beach with elegant home stores, but Rehoboth is full of them and here are my three favorites.
Honn Scott Showhouse

I'm in love with these straw bags.

I love everything in this store.

Lilly table

Jeff West Home

This tiny little store is filled with the most amazing treasures.

Mark Showell

Mark Showell is very formal and elegant in style.

Other favorites include-Mod Cottage, The Pelican Loft, and the Winding Beam.
