Breast cancer research and awareness is my sorority's philanthropy and this month is Think Pink month nationally! There are so many little things each and everyone of us can do to support this cause. If you happen to live in the Charlottesville area, let me know and I can give you information on some specific events my chapter is hosting like a Pearl Trunk show next week. We also hold a 5k in the Spring and numerous other special nights at restaurants where the proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen foundation. This philanthropy was one of the main reasons why I pledged ZTA, and I really try to encourage other women to collect yoplait lids, run a 5k with survivors, and spend a little time shopping on items whose proceeds go to this cause!
