Lavender

I love the smell of lavender. It reminds me of the little lavender packets my grandma keeps in closets and drawers to keep clothes smelling fresh and moth free. She grows the lavender herself and dries it to make these little packets. When I was at Whole Foods yesterday, I couldn't resist picking up a huge bar of lavender soap. It smells heavenly in the shower and helped clear out my currently stuffy nose.



Lavender makes for the most decor too.




I even got inspired to paint my nails lavender- a perfect Summer to Fall transition color!

  1. I love all things lavender! I used lavender scented everything at our house (dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, chlorox wipes, swiffer mop things, etc.) Love how relaxing the smell is!

  2. Love lavender. I still have these little sachets I bought in Provence filled with dried lavender, though they barely smell anymore I refuse to give them up....its my way of hanging onto the wonderful memory of being there. Such beautiful pictures.

  3. Me too! That wreath is the perfect spring wreath - I'll have to remember that for when we get out of the winter months...in the meantime I think I'll have to try out that nail polish. I've been trying to mix up my normal colors and I think that hue would be a perfect fit.

  6. The first picture is soo beautiful-like a lavender vineyard! That is soo cute about your grandmother growing the lavender and making packets for her drawers! I'm more of a vanilla person myself, but the lavender decor is wonderful!

  8. While I was in Michigan one of my friends made lemon lavender cookies they were out of this world. I love vanilla mixed with lavender usually.
